Lebron James on 60 Minutes

Lebron James was profiled on 60 minutes. Here’s a recap…

- Made $40 million last year which makes him the third biggest name in sports behind Tiger Woods and David Beckham.

- Was on the cover of Sports Illustrated in high school and didn’t even know what, or how big, that magazine was.

- Made this incredible shot on 1 take…

What a stud. The night I tried to give Dwayne Wade a hug (this story), Lebron came to the club as well. They strolled out in a pimped out limo. What a life these athletes live…

Kim Kardashian Photoshoppped

The curvy “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star proudly posted a pre-Photoshopped photo on her Web site from her Complex magazine shoot next to a more polished version.

“So what: I have a little cellulite,” Kardashian wrote in a blog entry entitled “Yes, I am complex!” “What curvy girl doesn’t?!”
-NY Daily News

Now besides the fact that I have stooped down to devoting a post to Kim Kardashian, I think that it’s awesome that she posted the untouched picture on her website. People often fail to realize that all these celebrities that are featured in these magazines are completely airbrushed over. I feel bad, especially for women actresses, who are constantly under the microscope for how they look.

Starburst Commerical That Makes Me Cringe

Every time I see this Straburst commercial with a chewing llama I have to change the channel. The chewing noise drives me crazy. Now the question is, is this an effective ad because it has gotten this type of response out of me?

Ford Fiesta Movement

So what do ya know… I entered another contest. This time it is to win a 2011 Ford Fiesta for 6 months where you have to go on monthly road trips and deliver real time reports of the Fiesta and the road trips via texts, videos, photos, etc. Gas and insurance will also be paid by Ford. They are picking 100 winners to participate in this “Ford Fiesta Movement” so we shall see what happens. The requirements to win are having a strong web presence and the ability to create videos, etc. I will get my video posted as soon as Youtube is done with scheduled maintenance!

Erik Johansson - Photoshop

Erik Johansson, a young designer from Sweden, creates remarkable images by digitally modifying photographs that he takes himself. Here’s a selection of some of his photo manipulations…

Crayola Crayons

Jim Cramer on the Daily Show

Very interesting, very disheartening, very true…

On March 12 2009, Cramer appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Stewart discussed how short selling was detrimental to the markets and investors; moreover, he claimed CNBC shirked its journalistic duty by emphasizing potentially untruthful corporate information in its reporting, rather than being an investigative “powerful tool of illumination.” Sadly, this is why I believe mainstream media sucks these days. Whether it comes to economics, politics, or even C list celebrity gossiping, it all sucks.

Radiohead Diss

Radiohead is definitely one of my favorite bands. They were also my favorite set at Lollapalooza last year.

On the other hand, I’m not a fan of Miley Cyrus at all, simply because I’m not into her music. Nothing against her. As for Kanye West, I dig the music, but don’t dig him or his attitude.

So why am I talking about Radiohead, Miley Cyrus, and Kanye West? Well, a feud has emerged between them. Both Kanye West and Miley Cyrus both wanted to meet Radiohead at the Grammy Awards last month, and Radiohead snubbed them and said no thanks. Miley and Kanye both have gone public with this snub, and regrettably I would have to side with them. It kind of upsets me that Thom Yorke and his band couldn’t take a minute to meet them, no matter who they are, or what they think of them. I’m starting to sense a Coldplay-esque “we are the kings of the world” aura that is radiating from Radiohead. I hate that crap when big namers put themselves on a pedestal.

Here is an article from the squabble…

Radiohead’s Thom Yorke Schools Miley Cyrus & Kanye West on Humility

03/13/2009 12:00 PM, E! Online

When Radiohead refused to meet Miley Cyrus and Kanye West at the Grammy Awards last month, the starlet threatened to “ruin” them and the rapper refused to stand for their performance. Now the In Rainbows band is fighting back.

Cyrus kicked off the feudin’ during an appearance on the Johnjay and Rich radio show and rambled on for more than six minutes about how the band dissed her after she begged her manager to set up an introduction.

“I’m like, these are the people I really want to meet,” she said. “I’d freak out. They’re my rock gods. These are the only people that I would cry over…My manager asked and said, ‘Miley’s really obsessed. And they were like, ‘We don’t really do that.’ ”

She continued on in disbelief about the Thom Yorke band’s lack of interest in meeting the Hannah Montana, admitting she was so disappointed about the diss, she left the show early.
“I left ’cause I was so upset,” she said. “I wasn’t going to watch. Stinkin’ Radiohead! I’m gonna ruin them, I’m going to tell everyone.”

The three-time Grammy winners responded by putting the teen in her place…

“When Miley grows up, she’ll learn not to have such a sense of entitlement,” the quintet said in a statement.

But the Radiohead beef buck doesn’t stop there.

During the taping for his episode of VH1’s Storytellers, West complained that Yorke snubbed him as well.

“When he performed at the Grammys, I sat the f–k down,” the rapper said.

The British “Creep” singer, already in full retaliation mode, concluded a blog post on the band’s website with a wink and a nudge to both stars. “Wish us all a safe journey if you still like us and you’re not one of those people I have managed to offend by doing nothing,” Yorke writes.

Random Story - Stroke Mr Frisky

3 years ago I was in Vegas with my friends. We were out at Tryst, a club in the Wynn, enjoying our night when we spotted D Wade. He was sitting at a table by himself, texting away, while 3 body guards surrounded him.

Well, after 44 vodka redbulls, and against my friends advise, I wanted to give D Wade a hug. I went up to one of his bodyguards and asked if I could say hello. He asked D, and he said ok. However, he didn’t look too enthused… it very well may have had to do with the fact that I was wearing a pink shirt that said ’stroke mr. frisky’.

Anyways, I approached him and said “hey whats up man, can I have a hug?” He looked at me for a few seconds, shook his head no, then looked back at his bodyguards. Again, this may have had to do with the fact that I was wearing a pink shirt that said ’stroke mr. frisky’. The bodyguards whisked me away and told me I had to leave the club. After a little pleading, and promising to stay away from D, they ended up letting me stay.

I learned a very important lesson that night. The moral of the story is, don’t try to give professional athletes hugs while wearing pink t-shirts that say ’stroke mr frisky’.

Crappiest Generation of Spoiled Idiots

Yes, I think I can agree that we can somewhat be labeled as the crappiest generation of spoiled idiots. As bad as everything is right now in our country, we still fail to realize how spoiled we all really have become. This is great (thanks for the link Jeff)…
